About BruCERT |

Brunei
National Computer Emergency Response Team ( BruCERT ) was established
in May 2004. It was formed in collaboration with AITI, the
Ministry of Communication, to become the nation’s first trusted
one-stop referral agency in dealing with computer-related and
internet-related security incidents in Brunei Darussalam.

BruCERT
will coordinate with local and international CSIRTs, network
service providers, security vendors, government agencies, as
well as other related organisation to facilitate the detection,
analysis and prevention of security incidents on the Internet.

Assist
other CERT and CSIRTs in the region to improve the efficiency
and effectiveness of computer emergency responses.

provide Computer Emergency Response Handling services (Identifying,
Prevention, Response and Mitigating) Public and Private sector.

provide assistance service in technical form for continuity and
recovery of operations.
|

To
secure and protect Information Technology for Public and Private
Sectors.

Act
as a National Central hub for all ICT security related issues
across the Nation.

provide training and consultancy services in IT security to the
government and the private sector. |

Functions
as the nation’s point of reference for coordination,
collaboration and communication with other international CERT
and CSIRT organisation in the country.

Gathers
and disseminates security information as advisories, vulnerabilities,
guidelines, statistics, defense strategies and mechanism for
the benefit of the internet community.

the reporting of computer security related incident and facilitate
security incident responses.

Conduct
research on security incident and security related technologies.

Promotes
and increase public awareness and understanding of information
security and technical know-how through education, seminar, workshop
