 What is BruCERT?

 

 

 

 

BruCERT or ‘Brunei Computer Emergency Response Team’ was setup in May 2004. It was formed in collaboration with AITI, the Ministry of Communication, to become the nation’s first trusted one-stop referral agency in dealing with computer-related and internet-related security incidents in Negara Brunei Darussalam.

How can I determine if there has been an incident occuring on my system?

 

 

 

 

 

Any users and administrators may contact BruCERT technical assistance if any of the violations stated below has been encountered. These include but are not limited to:

• Attempts (either failed or successful) to gain unauthorized access to a system or its data
• Unwanted disruption or denial of service
• The unauthorized use of a system for the processing or storage of data
• Changes to system hardware, firmware, or software characteristics without the owner's knowledge, instruction, or consent
